Blessings

I believe, Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." 

And because I believe this I believe in doing everything, EVERYTHING to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31) and I absolutely want my family to honor God with all that we have and in our everyday, crazy life! 

I fail at this miserably but I strive to live a life please to God!

So, a few months ago while talking to a wonderful friend about adopting she mentioned a family she knew who were adding on to their house because of adoption. They wrote scripture on the beams before the walls were complete!

SO AMAZING right!! I thought so!! I could cry thinking about it!!

Something deep in my soul wants to shout out to God, "Please use this home!! Use my family!! Use anything and everything we have to bring you glory"

And when I think about the reason we're finishing part of the attic I'm just so overwhelmed with thankfulness that THIS LIFE is MY life!!! God chose me!! Me of all people to live this amazing life that is super ordinary but so full of blessings! 

So, as we make plans to adopt and make room for a child we haven't even met, we're praying for that baby. We are lifting that child up as our very own flesh and blood and asking God to even now begin to prepare us and that child and all involved for this transition! It's so surreal to think of how God has already started a great work!.

I'm so humbled by His provision!

So, for a while now I've been making notes on the scripture I wanted us to write on the beams in the attic. 

This morning the girls and I took a break from school work and took our pens and markers and scripture and started writing and asking God to bless this house and use it for how He sees fit. Asking for Him to provide in a way we never thought possible and for us to cling to Him through every good thing and even on the road marked with suffering.

He will!! He's so faithful and so worthy!!

I'm so thankful for this memory the girls and I created today! Here's some pictures to go down in the books for us to always remember who we live for and that we will always live by the word of God!

So if you believe God's word to true and highly effective pray it over your life, over your family, over your home, over your finances, over your job, over everything possible in your life!! God will answer!
